Akshay finds his H'wood lead
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who will produce an Indo-Canadian film next, has found the leading man for it.
The film titled Breakaway will revolve around the theme of ice-hockey and will be directed by Robert Lieberman the man who made Mighty Ducks.
Akshay, who is a keen sports enthusiast, was wanting to make a sport-centric film for a long time. And even he must have not guessed that he would find his leading man right under his nose.
It is said that Akki has roped in Vinay Virmani (who according to reports is the son of the actor’s businessman friend, Ajay Virmani.) The Canadian-born Vinay is an exceptional ice hockey player from the local South Asian community.

And the youngster has also attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.
Akshay feels that an Indo-Canadian ice hockey film is the next step in his on-going relationship with sports. The actor was the Indian Ambassador for the 2010 Olympic Games.
Akshay has a black belt in martial arts, he even received the highest Japanese honour of the ‘Katana’ and his Sixth degree Black Belt from the founder and Grandmaster of Kuyukai International, Shihan Hirano Osamu-the oldest grandmaster in the world. Also Akshay Kumar’s Parkour gym won itself the bronze medal for the IAKS, IOC and IPC awards which are International Architecture prizes for sports facilities. Breakaway also stars the Canadian-born Emily Van Camp.
