‘Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti’ trailer out: Akshaye Khanna leads high-octane drama; inspired by real events

The trailer for 'Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti' has been released, and it wastes no time setting the mood. Inspired by the 2002 Akshardham Temple attack in Gujarat, the film follows a fictionalised account of the tragedy and the intense counter-operation that followed.




Akshaye Khanna takes on the lead role of NSG officer Major Hanut Singh. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 4, 2025 and is directed by Ken Ghosh.


Chilling lines, gripping action



The trailer opens with a tense moment: Akshaye's character listens to a terrorist saying over call, “Listen to me carefully. There’s a message for your Prime Minister.” That’s immediately followed by a haunting voice-over from a terrorist: “Whenever they think we are silent, there will be an explosion.” What follows is a fast-paced series of visuals — gunfire, chaos, tactical operations, and glimpses of the emotional weight soldiers carry.
