Akki shows concern for fellow stuntmen
Kambakkht Ishq may have got mixed reviews but everyone who saw the film was of the unanimous opinion that Akshay Kumar excelled in his role as a Hollywood stunt man.
Even the worlds biggest action star, the legendary Sylvester Stallone, validated that in the film. The reason why Akkis daredevilry is being revisited is because the actor is all set to launch a prestigious foundation for his fellow stuntmen.

This foundation is being backed by prestigious hospitals and supported by the Stunt Man Organization. A source close to Akshay says, Akshay has always done his own stunts and knows the concerns stuntmen face. He has been injured and is aware of the trauma and pain they go through. Hence, he came up with the idea of this foundation which will help those injured and take care of them. He will raise money for his foundation through various charitable activities and provide two ambulances at every set whenever a deadly stunt is going to be performed.
Akshay, who has suffered some 13 serious injuries in his daring and action-packed Bollywood career so far, will ensure his foundation is equipped with all medical facilities and is also in a position to help stuntmen put forward their problems to the Stunt Man Organization. In Macau for three days, the actor said quietly, This is a cause close to me heart... I dont want to say anything more.
While shooting for Khiladiyon Ke Khiladi, the Khiladi severely injured his back and had to go through surgery. Till date, however, his back troubles Akshay. Then while shooting a scene for Garam Masala, a cabinet broke and hit his head badly, for which Akshay had to be treated again. On Deewane Huye Paagal, too, he suffered injury, this time to his hand.
