Ajay Devgn starrer 'Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior' is one of the most awaited movies of the year. The film is based on the life of the military leader in the army of Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj. The 'Shivaay' actor will now be seen taking up a sword, shield and heading out to the frontline for his role as the unsung warrior Subedar Taanaji Malusare, who fought alongside Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj.Recently, Ajay took to his Twitter profile to announce the new release date of his next drama 'Taanaji'.

He wrote, ''start the 2020 new year with me, as Tanhaji releases on Jan 10.'' On New Years 2019, Director Om Raut took to Twitter to wish everyone Happy New Year and surprised them with the first look poster of this historical drama. The poster featured Ajay Devgn with a sword in his hands and ready to fight wearing his classic subedar outfit.

Meanwhile, the film also stars Saif Ali Khan. As per reports, Kajol has recently shot a song sequence for 'Taanaji' on a lavish set, complete with elegant rangoli and diyas, constructed in Mumbai's Film City.
