Ajay Devgn reacts to casting daughter Nysa Devgn for Kajol starrer 'Maa', reveals her acting plans

Ajay Devgn and Kajol's daughter Nysa Devgn is now quite famous on the gram and while her parents are superstars, netizens are quite curious even about Nysa. She is often spotted in the city and her pictures on the internet also leave people wondering if she will also become an actress like her parents. Kajol will be seen next in 'Maa' and the trailer was launched at a grand event in Mumbai.

'Maa' is a mythological horror film and the film is about Kajol protecting her daughter from a raakshas (demon). Ajay has produced the film and at the event, he was asked if he considered casting Nysa for the daughter's role in the film. Reacting to it, he said, "She is not interested in this kind of work."
Earlier, Ajay had said in an interview with Film Companion, "I don't know if she wants to come into this line. To this moment she has shown disinterest. anything can change anytime with children. she is abroad, she is studying right now.”

Earlier Kajol had revealed if Nysa has any acting plans. She had said at News18's Rising Bharat Summit 2025 Summit, "Bilkul nai..no, I think..vo 22 saal ki ho gaye hai..hone wali hai abhi.. I think she has made up her mind that ki nai aane wali hai abhi. (Not at all. She is turning 22 years old and I think she has made up her mind that she's not coming in the industry)."

Nysa is studying at the International Hospitality at Switzerland's Glion Institute of Higher Education. Earlier, she was in Singapore for three years during her final years of school.

Ajay and Kajol tied the knot in 1999 and have two children - Nysa and Yug Devgn.
