'Drishyam' has been creating ripples in the industry ever since its announcement with heightened anticipation for its 31st July release. Vijay Salgoankar's life revolves around his family; he is a 4th grade dropout who runs a small business in Goa. While the film is shot exquisitely in a Goa that hasn't been explored before, the treatment has been realistic with an aim to recreate the world of a common man who takes on IG Meera Deshmukh and her entire police force. After films like 'Satyagrah', 'Omkara', 'Rajneeti' and 'Zakhm' the viewers have been wanting to watch Ajay Devgn deliver an intense, impactful performance. Talking about the same, versatile actor Ajay Devgn said, “I've been asked many a times as to why I've shied away from intense roles but the truth is that I was waiting for the right script and Drishyam was it. This film is relatable, its treatment is very real and the relevance lies in the simplicity of the story where a common man decides to take on the system to protect his family. Realistic cinema which is entertaining is what the audiences want and look forward to watch every Friday."
Coupled with Tabu who epitomizes roles that define strong women and rare concept based cinema, 'Drishyam' promises to leave you biting your nails and at the edge of your seats.Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Panorama Studios, 'Drishyam' is directed by Nishikant Kamat and releases on July 31st, 2015
