The 148-day writers' strike, which stands as the second-longest in the history of the Writers Guild of America, is set to conclude on Wednesday.
Commenting on the end of strike Ajay Bijli, Managing Director, PVR INOX Limited says,"I would like to congratulate the Hollywood Studios and the WGA (Writers Guild of America) on reaching an agreement to end the 146-days long strike.
I am delighted that the two sides have come together to reach an agreement that benefits all parties involved and can put a major piece of film entertainment economy back to work. This will be a positive move for upcoming Hollywood releases as it puts an end to the months of uncertainty. I am very hopeful that the Film and TV actors strike will also come to an end, soon.’’
The WGA negotiating committee stated, "This allows writers to return to work during the ratification process, but it does not affect the membership's right to make a final determination on contract approval."
