Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shifted to hospital to Rhea Chakraborty requesting for a CBI inquiry into Sushant’s demise – here are the newsmakers of the week

It has been a month since Bollywood lost talented actor Sushant Singh Rajput, celebrities fondly remembered the late actor on July 14. And with the nepotism debate back in the limelight, this week, Shaheen Bhatt exposed the hatred she has been facing on social media. Last week after Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan were hospitalised, this week, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya were also shifted to a city hospital. Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide sent chills down Bollywood. From Kangana Ranaut to Shekhar Kapur, many suspected foul play in the same. Some even demanded a CBI inquiry into the case, and this week even Sushant’s partner Rhea Chakraborty requested for the same. In a note to Home Minister Amit Shah, Rhea wrote, “I’m Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, it is now over a month since his sudden demise. I have complete faith in the government, however in the interest of justice, I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter. I only want to understand what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step (sic).”

After testing positive for Covid-19 last week, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya were in home quarantine. However, this week the mother-daughter duo were shifted to a hospital, reportedly due to mild symptoms. “Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan admitted at Nanavati Hospital. Earlier, she was home quarantined after she tested positive for #COVID19,” ANI had shared. On July 11, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan had been hospitalised after testing positive for Covid-19. Jaya Bachchan had tested negative for Coronavirus.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande took to Instagram for the first time, a month after the actor’s death. Keeping it simple, Ankita lit a diya in front of God and decorated it with white flowers surrounding it. Not wanting to say more, Ankita wrote, “CHILD Of GOD.” Giving the departed soul the respect it deserved, she took to the social media only after a month, to pay homage to the established star. Although the couple parted ways in 2016, Ankita is said to be taken aback by Sushant’s untimely death. She visited Sushant’s Bandra house to meet his family after the actor’s demise.

Shaheen Bhatt exposed online hatred this week, sharing a screen shot of rape and death threats that she, her family and Alia Bhatt have been facing on social media. Shaheen in her post also threatened to take legal action against the online abusers. “The message or comment will first be blocked and reported to Instagram directly. –You will forfeit the right to your privacy. I will NOT protect your identity. Every shitty message you send me will-should I choose to-go up for everyone to see. Abusers are emboldened by their anonymity. I will not help hide you. – I WILL use all legal recourse available to me to take action. If you think you can’t be located because your account is anonymous, please think again-IP addresses are easily trackable. YOU are not invisible. Harassment is a crime.”

Akshay Kumar seems eager to get back on the sets and the first project he will begin shooting after the lockdown is espionage thriller ‘Bell Bottom’. According to Mumbai Mirror, ‘Bell Bottom’ will be shot in Scotland, Akshay Kumar and crew will fly out in private jets in the upcoming weeks for the first schedule. Akshay Kumar and team will reportedly shoot for a start-to-end schedule. ‘Bell Bottom’ is directed by Ranjit M Tewari and will feature Vaani Kapoor as the leading lady.
