Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan also test positive for COVID-19, Bachchans’ bungalows declared containment zones

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, while Jaya Bachchan tested negative. On Saturday night, Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek, who are being treated at a suburban hospital in Mumbai, took to social media to inform people that they have tested positive for COVID-19. In an official statement, the doctors at Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital said that Amitabh Bachchan is stable with mild symptoms and is currently in the isolation unit of the hospital.

Meanwhile, on Sunday morning, teams from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) arrived at the Bachchans’ bungalows to sanitise the premises.A source from the BMC said, “Four teams from the K-West ward sanitised their four bungalows — Jalsa, Pratiksha, Janak and Varsha — thoroughly. Later, the healthcare team from the ward conducted thermal screening of around 45 staff members present there. They have been asked to quarantine at home.”
Reportedly, the properties have been declared as containment zones. Messages wishing the Bachchans a speedy recovery poured in on social media from members of the film fraternity, politicians and fans.
