Aindrita Ray joins the bikini brigade

After Nidhi Subbaiah, actor Aindrita Ray has stripped down to a two-piece for a calendar shoot
In between promoting her film with Diganth, Parijatha, and shooting for a new project Rajanikantha opposite Duniya Vijay, Aindrita Ray has been very busy. But the petite damsel also managed to find time to sign up as the brand ambassador for a popular cricket event. Not just that, she also jetted to Goa for the photoshoot of a calendar for this event, for which she sported a bikini.
“When I was signed up as the brand ambassador, I was given a list of dos, which included the calendar shoot, attending the inauguration in Sharjah, and more. The calendar was shot in Goa with all the ladies who had been signed up for the event. Each of us was given two looks — one in a bikini and another in a dress. The bikini shot was to look sultry and beach-like,” says Andy.
The actor, for whom the photoshoot was a first of sorts, adds that the fact that she has worked with the photographer earlier and that a professional makeup and style team was flown in from Mumbai boosted her confidence. “I wasn’t body-conscious. I have always been on the skinny side and so I wasn’t worried about whether I could carry off the bikini look. I knew that with the team involved in the shoot, the result would be very aesthetic,” she adds.
But just because she has worn a two-piece for a picture, it doesn’t mean that Andy will randomly sport the look in her forthcoming films. “So far, none of my films required me to wear a bikini. While it is easy to say that I may do it if the script requires it, it is highly unlikely that a script will ever demand that the heroine wear a bikini. But I don’t have a problem wearing one,” she signs off.
