Aindrita: I don’t want to be part of Nannavanu
Aindrita Ray, claims she hasnt been paid in full by the films producer
Aindrita Rays on a long break, something she feels she deserves after her hectic 2008 schedule. Ive finished shooting for all my pending projects in a year. Im really enjoying this vacation, she says.
However, the hiccups she faced with her third film, Nannavanu, soured the experience of teaming up with her Meravanige co-star Prajwal Devraj again.
1x1 polls
I trusted the director and took up the project. But I was sidelined, they made me work long hours and the producer didnt pay me in full after I finished the project, she claims. Aindrita has taken the matter to the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and is waiting for justice and hoping that the Artistes Association will help.
There were even reports that the incident hurt her so badly that shes not doing any more Kannada films. Karnataka is my home state and my fans love me. I usually put my heart and soul into the promotion of my movies. But I dont want to be part of Nannavanu anymore, she says.
But its not all bad news for the actress. Rumour has it that shes signed Rockline Venkateshs Manasare, to be directed by Yograj Bhat and will star Diganth. I dont want to talk about the project until it starts. Id love to work with Yograj Bhat because he makes an artiste get into the skin of the character something Im yet to learn. Even though his movies are commercial, they have good storylines, she says.
