After Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani cancels hosting the screening of his film, 'Captain America: Brave New World' on Valentine's Day: 'I won't be able to attend...'

Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani and others have been facing a bacjlash ever since their appearance on Samay Raina's show, 'India's Got Latent'. Ashish, along with others, also recorded his statement with the police.

Now, amid the ongoing controversy, Ashish took to his Instagram handle to inform his followers that he won't be able to keep up with his appointment of hosting the screening of 'Captain America: Brave New World' on Valentine's Day.

He wrote, 'Hello Doston, Iam not keeping well, so, unfortunately I won't be able to attend and host the screening of the film 'Captain America Brave New World' on Valentine's Day. But don't worry, those who are selected can still go and enjoy the show. I know, Iam gonna miss y'all so much! Love you 3000.'



This comes after reports of Samay Raina's shows being cancelled in Gujarat started doing the rounds. Samay was set to perform a 1.5-hour set called Unfiltered in Gujarat. However, reports suggest the shows have been cancelled to avoid potential protests and disruptions at the venues.



The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) reported that tickets for Samay Raina's April comedy shows are no longer available on BookMyShow. The controversy began after influencer Ranveer Allahbadia's provocative comments during Raina's show went viral, sparking criticism and police complaints. Raina had planned four shows in Gujarat: Surat (April 17), Vadodara (April 18), and Ahmedabad (April 19–20).

The controversy erupted when Ranveer Allahbadia, a judge on the episode, asked a provocative question: "Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life or join in once to stop it forever?" Samay Raina and Apoorva Mukhija were seen laughing and allegedly using abusive language, which sparked outrage online, with many criticizing the creators for promoting obscenity.

On Wednesday, Raina announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he had removed all episodes and would cooperate with authorities. An FIR has been registered against the show's team, including Raina and Allahbadia, for allegedly featuring 'objectionable' content.
