After Salman Khan, Sunny Deol to join hands with South director Gopichand Malineni for an actioner

Gopichand Malineni, following the success of his film 'Veera Simha Reddy', did announce a new project with actor Ravi Teja. However, reports indicate that this project was ultimately shelved due to a variety of reasons.

The director has indeed created a buzz with his latest announcement. He is set to collaborate with Bollywood actor Sunny Deol on an action-packed project tentatively titled 'SDGM'. This marks an interesting venture, blending Gopichand's dynamic directorial style with Deol's powerful screen presence.

The announcement regarding Malineni's new project with Sunny was made on social media on June 20. The makers unveiled an announcement poster for the film, which has been tentatively named 'SDGM', and they revealed that shooting will commence soon.

The upcoming film 'SDGM', directed by Gopichand Malineni and starring Sunny Deol, will feature music composed by S Thaman. The technical team also includes cinematographer Rishi Punjabi and art director Avinash Kolla.

Last year, 'Gadar 2' featuring Sunny Deol was celebrated as one of the highest-grossing films in India. It grossed over ₹690 crore worldwide and was met with rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.

Currently, Sunny is engaged in shooting for 'Lahore 1947', directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film is being produced by Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan's production companies, with Preity Zinta playing a significant role. Additionally, Deol has 'Border 2' in the pipeline, which is scheduled to hit theaters in 2026.

Telugu director Gopichand Malineni, known for helming films like 'Bodyguard', 'Balupu', 'Krack', and 'Veera Simha Reddy', is currently shooting for Ravi Teja's upcoming film.
