The Kapoor household is bustling again, this time it is to host a baby shower for mom-to-be Sonam Kapoor.
The Kapoors are going all out to host a grand baby shower for the actress and her husband, Anand Ahuja this weekend. Besides details of the Bohemian theme, to the designer outfits she will wear, new reports claim the mom-to-be will don something special that belongs to her mother Sunita Kapoor.
Just like her wedding, the actress will add a personal touch to her outfit by wearing one of her mother's jewellery pieces, states a report on IndiaTooday.
Soman made headlines when she revealed that she borrowed some stunning jewellery pieces from her mother's collection for her wedding in 2018.
As far as the baby shower is concerned, the event is expected to be a glitzy affair with several Bollywood stars in attendance. Besides Sonam's long list of besties, actresses like Kareena Kapoor Khan, mom-to-be Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, cousins, Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor among others, are also expected to attend the shower.
However, hearsay is that the event had to be called off today following COVID-related troubles.
A source close to the Kapoors told Bombay Times that the family was looking forward to the baby shower and had been preparing for it for a while now but there may be a change of plans. Concerns about COVID surfaced and the family decided to call off the event to avoid any health issues, especially for the mother-to-be and her baby.
Early this week, Sonam and Anand sent out customised hampers to various guests invited to the celebration, to be held at Kavita Singh’s bungalow Rockdale in Bandra.
