After
Ranveer Singh exited 'Don 3', everyone was wondering who would be stepping in to play the titular character in the upcoming movie. And now amidst the chatter around the film, it is being reported that
Shah Rukh Khan will be retaining his role in the iconic franchise. However, the superstar has made demands for the same. Let's learn more about it.
Shah Rukh Khan will be back as Don
According to the TellyChakkar report, Shah Rukh Khan is ready to reprise his role in the film only if the makers get 'Jawan' director Atlee on board. As per the report, SRK has asked the makers to involve the South filmmaker to level up the movie's scale and excitement among the masses. However, nothing has been on paper as of now.
Well, it will be interesting to see how Farhan Akhtar (director of the 'Don' films starring SRK) will respond to SRK's demands.
More about the 'Don' franchise
It was Amitabh Bachchan who played the titular character in the 1978 film. Then, SRK played the iconic character in 'Don' and 'Don 2', released in the years 2006 and 2011, respectively. Both movies were directed by Farhan Akhtar. Last year, the makers announced 'Don 3' with Ranveer Singh. However, recently, the actor backed out from the project. According to Pinkvilla, "He is keen to collaborate with filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Atlee, and at the same time, he doesn’t want to be seen in back-to-back gangster films, especially since Dhurandhar is already established in that space."
More about 'Don 3'
After Kiara Advani's exit, the makers have reportedly roped in Kriti Sanon in the movie. However, no official announcement has been made. The makers had approached Vikrant Massey and Vijay Deverakonda for the role of antagonist; however, they both declined the offer. Now, with several exits, it seems the film is in the middle of nowhere.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
