After Farhad Samji's solo debut, Sajid Samji announces his film ‘Hari Up’

Filmmaker Sajid Samji of the popular writer-director duo Sajid-Farhad, is all set to make his solo debut as he announced his first solo film ‘Hari Up’. Helmed by Sajid, the film is presented by Tips Industries, Bay Films and Prerna V Arora.
While more details about ‘Hari Up’ is yet to be released, the makers have shared that the project will be back by Virendra Arora, Manan Sampat, Reshabh Saraf and Salman M Shaikh.

Before Sajid, it was Farhad who made his solo debut with ‘Housefull 4’ in 2019 after the two parted ways almost four years ago.
While Sajid and Farhad had made a successful debut with Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Shiva’, the two have several hit films under their credit such as Rohit Shetty’s ‘Bol Bachchan’, ‘Golmaal’ and ‘Singham’.Talking about their split, the duo had previously reasoned that it was “to give creative space to each other so that their personal relationship remains intact”.
Currently on the work front, the two brothers are keeping themselves busy individually with multiple projects lined up ahead as a writer-director. It is believed that Sajib has a big project under the banner of Sony Pictures. Apart from this, he most likely has a romantic comedy with Viacom 18 Movies. If these aren’t enough, he can also be seen donning the director’s hat for the sequel of David Dhawan’s ‘Chashme Baddoor’ starring Taapsee Pannu. Reportedly, he has also signed up yet untitled rom-com by Zee Studios.
On the other hand, Farhad is eyeing bigger projects including Salman Khan’s ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’ and Akshay Kumar-Kriti Sanon’s ‘Bachchan Pandey’. He has also reportedly penned scripts for Kartik Aryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. His last projects were ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ and ‘Coolie No.1’.
