Adnan Sami: I ate a whole turkey and now I’ll party

Says Adnan Sami who is celebrating an "interim victory" in the court battle against ex-wife Sabah Galadari with a concert performance followed by a big bash.
After 5-years of summons and court visits, Adnan Sami finally has a reason to smile. On Monday, Bombay High Court stayed a family court's order directing Adnan to pay Rs 6.4 crore and surrender his Andheri home to former wife, Dubai based entrepreneur Sabah Galadari.
“It is an interim victory for me. Santa Claus came early this year,” smiles Adnan. The singer-composer married Galadari in 2001, but the couple split after one and a half years, only to be re-married again in 2008. This time too it lasted just one year.

“Unfortunately, a civilised divorce was not in my destiny. God knows, Sabah and I tried, not once but twice, to make things work. But it was not meant to last,” an emotional Adnan told Mirror.
Adnan is presently happily married to Roya Faryabi and will bring in the New Year with a bang and has planned a party with his friends and family.
"I had a traditional Christmas meal, the whole turkey actually. And that has started the week of celebrations," said the 41-year-old singer.
“I have also written a special song for my wife called ‘Roya’. She is my inspiration and came into my life in 2009 when I was a broken man. I had just lost my father and was at the lowest point in my life. She put me back together piece by piece,” Adnan said.
With a great meal and the positive court order, Adnan is ready to put on his party shoes. “I am going to party till I drop. For me the ultimate party is when I am able to sing. I’m completely spontaneous and might sing ‘Roya’at a concert I am performing at too,” says Adnan. Not many know, that Adnan loves to dance as much as he enjoys singing.
"I’m going to ring in the New Year by dancing all over the place and keeping my musicians on their toes."
