Manisha Koirala was on a spiritual sojourn in Varanasi recently. The actress, who has spent a considerable part of her childhood in the city, was on a thanksgiving trip. Shiva," said Manisha, who was last seen in the biopic Sanju.

The 'Khamoshi' and '1942 A Love Story' actress was accompanied by her mother and performed puja at the Kashi Vishwanath temple for close to an hour. She also visited Markandey Mahadev in Kaithi. As she reached Dashashwamedh Ghat, to participate in the Ganga Aarti, the crowd gathered there to witness the aarti, greeted her with the chant of Har Har Mahadev. She responded by waving at the crowd. Before the commencement of the aarti, she performed puja of the holy river amidst chanting of the mantras. Later, she was honoured with a memento by the Ganga Seva Nidhi.
Manisha later also went for darshan at the famous Sankat Mochan Temple.
Manisha, who has studied in Vasant Kanya Mahavidyalaya, also took time out to meet her school friends and all the girls recalled their school days.
