Actor Jay Thakkar opens up on working with Shreyas Talpade and director Sangeeth Sivan for their upcoming horror comedy

Actor Jay Thakkar who started off his career as a child artist in 2004 with well known shows like Guturgu- India's 1st Silent Comedy Show, Lagi Tujhse Lagan, Uttaran, and is best known for his work in Sony TV's Ek Dujey Ke Vaaste 2, Jio Cinema's UP65, Amazon Prime's Laakhon Mein Ek, Ram Setu and Dream Girl movies, joins the cast of Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor starrer untitled horror comedy.

Helmed by Kya Kool Hain Hum director Sangeeth Sivan and produced by Jayesh Patel of Bravo Entertainment, the shooting is currently happening in Faridabad.

Opening up about his role, he stated, "My character is the youngest of the group, but his thoughts and ideologies are futuristic and ambitious. He is always dreaming of doing something revolutionary, but his friends often tease him for his idealism. He is playful, polite, mischievous, empathetic, and enjoys political discussions. He is also very intelligent and resourceful, often finding creative shortcuts to solve difficult problems. I have a subtle Gujarati Dialect in this."

Talking about how he landed into this primary role, Jay mentioned, "I landed the lead role in the movie after a series of successful auditions. The casting agency loved my initial audition and asked for more quirky improvisations, which I delivered to their satisfaction. My auditions were then sent to the director and producer, who were also impressed. In a meeting with the director and writer, I performed my best and was finally confirmed for the role. I was the first primary lead to be finalized for the movie, and I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity."

Describing his working experience with Shreyas Talpade he tells, "My experience working with Shreyas Talpade sir has been amazing. He is a fantastic costar who loves to improvise with me. He is also humble, kind, and friendly, and we have great chemistry both on and off screen. I am yet to work with Tusshar Kapoor sir, as his schedule begins after 15 days, but I am confident that when three actors with great comic timing work together, the audience will be treated to a high-quality performance that will definitely make them laugh."

Sharing about his working experience with director Sangeeth Sivan, he stated, "Sangeeth Sivan sir is the most professional, sweet, humble, and cutest director I have ever met. He calls me "Future Superstar" on set and always appreciates and encourages my performances. Even during the auditions, Sangeeth sir always praised my performances when he liked them. I have been a fan of his art and have always admired his movies like 'Apna Sapna Money Money', 'Yamla Pagla Deewana 2', and 'Kya Kool Hai'."
