Actor Dalip Tahil arrested for drunk driving

Actor Dalip Tahil was reportedly arrested by the Mumbai police on Sunday night, for driving under the influence of alcohol. Reports state that the actor rammed his car into an autorickshaw, injuring two passengers.
The report details that the actor’s car collided with an autorickshaw from behind and attempted to speed away, only to be stopped by Ganesh Visarjan processions that left the road congested.The two passengers reportedly caught up with him and asked him to step out of the car. The actor, however, began arguing with the two and allegedly even pushed them. This prompted them to call the police that lead to the actor being taken into custody.
The police later confirmed that the driver was indeed Tahil, whose full name is Dalip Tahilramani. The three involved in the accident were taken for a medical check-up, after which the police booked the actor for causing injury due to rash and negligent driving and for driving under the influence.
An inspector from the Khar police station also stated that Tahil refused to give a blood sample for testing for alcohol traces. He was later granted bail.
