Actor booked for threatening scribe

MUMBAI: JJ Marg police on Sunday registered an FIR against

actor Ajaz Khan

allegedly for threatening a

journalist with a web portal

. No arrest was made till late Sunday.

DCP (zone I) Manoj Sharma said Khan was booked under IPC sections 504 (insult) and 506 (II) (criminal intimidation). The journalist claimed, “The actor has sent

threatening messages

via WhatsApp after we uploaded a story quoting Mumbai Police’s reply to his tweet about being as a

chief guest

to a police function. The Mumbai Police denied holding a function where Khan was invited as chief guest.” Khan has acted in movies like Rakhta Charitra and was a contestant in reality TV show Bigg Boss.
