Action-packed film will leave you spellbound
Dilip Ghosh’s 'Commando', which has Vidyut Jammwal and Pooja Chopra in lead roles, was shot in real locations in Patiala, Chandigarh and Manali. And with Vidyut performing eye-popping stunts at these locations, it wasn’t an easy job for the cast and crew. Says producer Vipul Shah, “Shooting at different locations was a tough task. We were trying to place actions into various locations, which is generally not seen in Indian cinema.”
Vidyut, who has performed the stunts without any cables or wires, attributes these daredevil acts to his training in martial arts since the age of three.

And during the shoot, practising each and every stunt a number of times became his daily routine. Action choreographer, Franz Spilhaus, says he was excited to work with him and recalls having “an amazing time working with a person who knows it all”.
Recalling one of the stunts, where Vidyut rolls himself around another guy and bashes him to the ground, Vipul says, “To get a body roll right, a person needs at least 10 years of experience and practice. And that’s just what Vidyut has. The film is all about turmoil of action, aggression, love, blood and lust.”
Commando, produced by Vipul Shah and Reliance Entertainment, releases April 12.
