Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota

’. The film, which has won ‘People’s Choice Award: Midnight Madness’ at the

Toronto International Film Festival

this year, witnesses the fitness freak in a negative role.

Ask him he landed the role, and Prateek says, “Vasan sir knows me since so long and we have worked together on a few short films. He likes me for my Martial Arts skills (smiles) and we always wanted to work together because our cinematic sensibilities match.

I was already working on ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’ as Martial Arts consultant. And one day on set Vasan sir came to me with this role and asked me to do it because he felt nobody can do it better than me and so I said ‘yes’ . I am not allowed to talk much about my role till the announcement but yes, I am curious.”

Kumar, who is currently working on a Gujarati film ‘Suryansh’ starring Freddy Daruwala and Heena Achhra, is excited about this new opportunity. “It is always a pleasure working with Vasan Bala as he is humble, extremely intelligent and an explorer. I know him since a very long time and am always keen to work with him. I feel that he knows me well and understands how to utilise my talent,” signs off Kumar.
