Action King Arjun is going to work for the first time with Perarasu, the man who names films with the titles of towns in Tamil Nadu, in Thiruvannamalai. Sania is being introduced as the heroine of the film that is being produced by K Balachandar's Kavithalayaa. The film will have the typical Perarasu formula- a god fearing larger than life hero taking on the corrupt politicians, helpless women tormented by the superstions in the society, a comedy track lampooning politicians, hero delivering punchlines plus mass dapan koothu songs.
He has taken the plot out of today's headlines- His hero Thiru is a friendly neighbourhood cable operator who takes on the villain, a corrupt politician who tries to enter the cable industry by force. According to Perarasu, " It is an out-and-out commercial masala film made in an entertaining manner". Leading Kannada actor Saikumar plays the villain with Karunaas and Vaiyapuri in charge of comedy. Srikanth Deva is composing music for this film which is likely to be released for Deepavali.
