Nayan Mongia The best thing is that it is a very clear mandate to one party, which means there will be quick decision-making. I am hopeful that under Modi, the new government will fulfil all the promises that it has made.
Tejal Amin This is surely the beginning of a new era in the history of Indian politics, and I am sure it will be a great one! Modi becoming the Prime Minister will be a matter of great pride for entire Gujarat.I am looking forward to development of all sectors and being an educationist, I hope the new government will emphasize more on that front. I am hopeful that this government will take a more result-oriented approach and a stable government.

Anshuman Gaekwad People will have high expectations from this government. Given that he has done so well in Gujarat, I am hopeful that Modi will now ensure the same for the country. Also, as a Barodian, I hope that the new government will ensure that Vadodara will finally have a quality cricket stadium of its own!
Kiran More This change was a much needed one and I believe it is a fantastic result for the country. Clear majority to one party is always a good trend and as someone from the sporting fraternity, I hope that sports infrastructure gets a boost and also, more emphasis should be given on sports in rural areas to tap the future champions.

Hitu Kanodia The way the stock market opened on the day itself signals a lot of positive change in the days to come. What the Gujarati entertainment industry is looking forward to now is some winds of change and creating more awareness on the richness of Gujarati language among the young.
Mona Thiba I feel glad about the outcome and this was the outcome that majority of people were expecting. There is also hope that the Gujarati film industry gets required attention at the multiplexes.

But we don’t need to expect too much from him, Modi is a powerful leader and we have seen him do well in Gujarat and we should let him do his work. From whatever I have heard from people around him and the general mood of the janta, it has only been positive feedback. So there has to be something about him that has escalated him to such a powerful position. I just feel it’s time to sit back and enjoy.
Asit Kumarr Modi It is a proud moment to see Mr Modi winning. He is from the same town as mine. We Gujaratis believe in togetherness and that’s where I strongly feel our country will surely benefit from this. Not only that, Indians have witnessed the progress of Gujarat as a state in last ten years — and that was the reason why people have put their faith in him. He has a great vision and strong leadership qualities which will be good for progress of our country.
JD Majethia I am very happy at the prospect of seeing a leader coming from Gujarat. I am never biased towards any political party but, I strongly feel Narendra Modi is a right leader who believes in taking everyone together. I remember his vision when he said ‘If one citizen takes one step forward with us on the path of development, it will be 150 crores steps that country will move ahead in terms of progress.’ The most evident thing to indicate the happiness of country is Sensex has hit a new record of going 1000 points high. And I’m sure country would have gone into a depression mode had it not been Mr Modi.

Parthiv Gohil I am feeling happy that Gujarat is going on national level. The Gujarat model of development will surely be reflected on national scale. I have met Narendra Modi many times. He is someone who believes in taking everyone together and treats everyone like a family. The way Gujarat has progressed, all Indians want him to lead the country on path of progress.
Deven Bhojani It is a matter of proud that we will have a prime minister from Gujarat. Being a Gujarati, it feels surely great. I was sure he will win as he was the most deserving candidate to lead the country. His Gujarat development model put him ahead as a leader. Manav Gohil I am happy that someone with a more aggressive mindset towards doing something for the country is going to be our next Prime Minister! I hope there will be zero tolerance for corruption and better infrastructure. For our industry, I hope that the tax structure is reviewed because we actors end up paying too much in terms of taxes!

Now, I hope that the new government will have women’s safety on top of its agenda, and that women can feel safe even if they step out at night, like it has happened in Gujarat. I also hope that the government steps in and supports the singers in their fight against music labels, and lessens the burden of taxes on artists like us.
