Abhishek Bachchan sells luxury duplex apartment in Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi for Rs 14.5 crore - Report

Abhishek Bachchan has sold a luxury duplex apartment in Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi for Rs 14.5 crore, according to property registration documents accessed by Zapkey.

The apartment has a total carpet area of 2,249 sq ft and was transacted at a rate of Rs 64,473 per sq ft. As per the registration records, the buyers are Rishi Mandawat, a partner at Bain Capital Private Equity, and Smita Mehta.

Duplex located on 40th and 41st floors

The property is situated in Godrej Planet, a premium residential project in the Mahalaxmi neighbourhood of Mumbai. The duplex comprises units on the 40th and 41st floors in Tower 4 (Strata).

The transaction also includes three car parking slots. The deal was officially registered on February 12, 2026.

Godrej Planet is a luxury residential development featuring over 300 apartments across five towers, offering 2, 3, and 5 BHK residences in one of South Mumbai’s upscale localities.

Abhishek Bachchan could not be reached for comment regarding the transaction.

Abhishek turns 50; family pours in heartfelt wishes

Meanwhile, Abhishek celebrated his 50th birthday today amid an outpouring of love from family, friends, and fans across the country.

Leading the wishes was his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, whose heartfelt Instagram post instantly grabbed attention. She shared a rare childhood picture of Abhishek in which only his eyes were visible, making it both nostalgic and intimate.

Alongside the photo, she wrote, “Happy HAPPY 50th Birthday dearest Babyyy-Papa with lots of love, peace, happiness, contentment and best health. God Blesssss. Stay Golden… Shine on Love.”

Amitabh Bachchan also penned an emotional note for his son. In a blog post, he thanked fans for their constant love and blessings, making the milestone birthday even more special for the Bachchan family.
