Abhishek Bachchan hails Agastya Nanda's dedication for 'Ikkis'; says, 'This is a huge honor'

The Indian government posthumously honored him with the Param Vir Chakra, the country's highest gallantry award, for his sacrifice and courage. With that, he became the youngest recipient of the highest military honor at the time.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film stars Agastya Nanda, the late actor Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, and the late actor Asrani. Speaking to PTI, Raghavan said they stayed true to the story, avoiding any added drama in the name of creative liberty.
The film is set to clash with Sameer Vidwans' film 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri', starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, at the box office.

Abhishek Bachchan lauds Agastya Nanda ahead of 'Ikkis' release in theaters
Abhishek Bachchan took to his Instagram Stories to share a reel about Indian army officer Arun Khetrapal, on whom the film 'Ikkis' is based. He wrote, "Agastya, this is a huge honour and responsibility!! A huge hero of our nation. I am sure you have given him the respect, valour and dignity he truly deserves. You are an immensely sincere actor and your dedication to portraying Arun ji is so commendable. May God and the audiences bless you. #KeepFightingTheGoodFigh."Take a look here.

'Ikkis' is set to hit theaters on December 25, 2025. In the movie, Agastya Nanda plays the role of Arun Khetrapal, who was martyred at the age of 21 during the Battle of Basantar in the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
