Abhi's helping out Sikandar

Anupam and Kirron Kher have reason to celebrate: their son Sikandar has bagged one of the lead roles in Abbas-Mustan’s Bollywood remake of The Italian Job.
And guess who Sikandar owes this to? His good friend Abhishek Bachchan. Apparently, Abhishek has taken it upon himself to revive (more like jumpstart) Sikandar’s career.
Our source said, “Abhishek and Sikandar have been childhood friends.While Abhishek established himself in Bollywood, Sikandar’s films Woodstock Villa and Summer 2007 both failed miserably at the box office. Now Abhishek has decided to help his friend and see to it that he gets some decent films.”
Abhishek first helped Sikandar get Khelen Hum Jee Jaan Se and now he has got him an integral part in The Italian Job. Apparently, Abhishek always maintained that Sikandar had the talent and just needed the right break to establish himself.
When contacted, Abbas-Mustan confirmed the news. Mustan said, “Yes, Sikandar plays one of the five leads of the film. Abhishek Bachchan plays the lead role of a guy gathering a team of experts in their own fields.
Sikandar plays the guy who is an expert in explosives and that’s why Abhishek chooses him to be a part of the team.”
But the director duo denies that Abhishek recommended Sikandar’s name to them. “No, he fits the bill perfectly. We have also worked with Anupam Kher earlier in our first home production Life Partner and we knew Sikandar since then,” they insist. In which case, it’s all in the family.
