It goes without the saying that Aarya has acting in his blood. After all, the young man belongs to the extremely talented and renowned Babbar family.
And while Aarya’s already making waves for his pivotal role in Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan, the upcoming star is also creating headlines for his directorial debut in theatre with Gorky + Tinku Ke Kaarname which has already become a rage.

Aarya’s father Raj Babbar has been the most sought after actor in Bollywood and his mother Nadira is a renowned theatre personality as is his sister Juhi. But not many know that Aarya, too, has been a part of the theatre world since childhood. “Theatre has been a part of me since I was 10-years-old. I would make it a point to attend theatre workshops and am still closely connected to it.”
The actor is now taking the Babbar legacy forward by getting into directing plays. “I’m not used to sitting idle at all. Hence, in one of my breaks between shooting schedule, I wrote a full fledged story which turned out to be Gorky + Tinku Ke Kaarname, India’s first masala comedy play,” says Babbar Jr proudly.
So while the actor is busy with Farah’s TMK, an international project Mujahideen and Anees Bazmee’s Ready, he is also eagerly awaiting his comedy play. Ask him what he likes most, serious cinema or comic antics and he quips, “Just put me in front of the camera! I like everything then!”
