In ‘Taare Zameen Par,’ Aamir portrayed a compassionate teacher aiding a child with dyslexia. Now, with ‘Sitaare Zameen Par,’ he endeavors to initiate a dialogue around Down Syndrome, intending to sensitively depict the challenges faced by those dealing with the condition. According to a Hindustan Times report, an insider has shared that Aamir’s objective is to foster understanding and equality for individuals with Down Syndrome, paralleling his earlier advocacy for dyslexia in ‘Taare Zameen Par.’

While specific details about the film remain tightly under wraps, questions loom over whether Aamir Khan will take up the directorial reins or opt for a producer's role. Actress Genelia Deshmukh is also set to feature prominently in this heartening narrative, scheduled for a Christmas release this year.

In an interview with News18, Khan articulated his vision for ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, emphasizing a departure from the emotional tones of its predecessor. He teased that while while ‘Taare Zameen Par’ brought tears, the latest movie promises laughter and entertainment, all while continuing the theme of celebrating human uniqueness.


He even shared insights into the storyline, revealing a reversal of roles - from helping a special child in to being assisted by nine boys with unique challenges.
