Aamir Khan to consider Kishore Kumar biopic among six film projects for his next movie: Report

Aamir Khan is short-listing high-profile film projects currently that he plans to do post the completion of 'Sitaare Zameen Par'. Amongst six such films, one in which he is indeed interested is a biopic on legendary singer Kishore Kumar, directed by Anurag Basu, produced by Bhushan Kumar.

The biopic holds a personal interest for Basu and Kumar, where Aamir, reportedly, is taken up by Basu's unique vision to portray the life of Kishore Kumar. According to Pinkvilla, Aamir Khan and Basu have met multiple times, and discussions seem to be progressing positively. The film aims to delve deeply into an era gone by, touching the nuances about the life and legacy of the music icon.


The Kishore Kumar biopic is among those confirmed, but Aamir is also scouting around for other projects-Ujjwal Nikam biopic, superhero film with Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rajkumar Santoshi's comedy 'Char Din Ki Zindagi', and 'Ghajini 2'. Some of them are still being developed, while some are ready with their script. Reportedly Aamir plans to finalize his choice by the end of the year, with three among these six possibilities going forward in the coming years.


If the biopic plans works out, it is likely to go on floors towards the end of 2025, after the completion of Anurag Basu's work on the untitled love story that marks his collaborative venture with Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri. This would be a great collaboration because Basu had always wanted to work with Aamir Khan; hence the excitement for the project was well justified.
