Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, R Madhavan: Celebs who contracted Covid-19 in the past week while shooting

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has affected a lot of lives, and celebs are no exception. While Bollywood has resumed shoot amidst the ‘new normal’ and is insisting that they are following protocols, a lot of actors have contracted the virus, especially in the last few weeks. In fact, more than ten actors have tested positive for the virus this month. Let’s take a look at celebs who contracted the virus this week while shooting, and are currently under home quarantine.

On Wednesday, Aamir Khan's spokesperson confirmed that the actor was under home quarantine and following all protocols after testing positive for coronavirus. He added that the actor was doing fine and asked everyone, who came in contact with him, to get tested. Aamir was shooting for his upcoming film 'Laal Singh Chadha', and will now resume only after he fully recovers.

A day after, Aamir Khan’s spokesperson revealed that the actor had tested positive for coronavirus, his '3 Idiots' co-star R Madhavan informed that he, too, had tested positive for the virus. The actor took to his Twitter handle and shared the news with a hilarious post referring to his and Aamir's characters from ‘3 Idiots’, Farhan and Rancho. Sharing a funny still from their film, he wrote, "Farhan HAS to follow Rancho and Virus has always been after us, BUT this time he bloody caught up. BUT-ALL IS WELL, and the Covid will be in the Well soon. Though this is one place, we don’t want Raju in. Thank you for all the love. I am recuperating well." The actor was shooting in Bhopal for Telugu film ‘Amriki Pandit’. The actor had shared a BTS video from the sets on his social media profile.

Earlier this week, Kartik Aaryan tested positive for coronavirus. The actor took to his social media handles, urging fans to pray for his speedy recovery. He shared a picture of a plus sign and wrote, "Positive ho gaya, Dua karo." Kartik was shooting for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, along with Kiara Advani and Tabu. Kiara has tested negative for the virus.

'Ludo' actor Rohit Saraf, too, tested positive for the virus. The actor took to his social media handle to inform that he had contracted the virus and urged everyone to be careful as the virus is still here. Rohit’s post read as, "Despite the precautions, I have tested COVID positive. The virus is right here, let us not forget! Let's not slack even for a moment, please. I've been in isolation for the past four days with all the possible symptoms, and that's why I request all of you to please not take this lightly". Rohit also contracted the virus on the sets as he was shooting for his upcoming projects.

Despite taking the first dose of the vaccine, producer Ramesh Taurani also contracted the virus. He wrote, “I have tested positive for COVID and have been following all the precautions and taking medications to get better. If you have interacted with me in the past 2 weeks, please do get tested. I have taken my 1st vaccine dose and hope to recover from this soon. Please wear a mask and stay safe!”.

A week ago, Siddhant Chaturvedi had informed his fans and followers that he has contracted the virus. "I have taken all necessary precautions and followed all protocols as advised by the doctor," read his Instagram story post. The actor was filming for ‘Phone Bhoot’, co-starring Ishaan Khatter and Katrina Kaif.
