Amid ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Kangana Ranaut have publicly expressed support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praising his leadership.
Following the PM's address, Khan’s production house shared a message on their social media handle acknowledging the role of Indian armed forces in Operation Sindoor. “Saluting the heroes of Operation Sindoor. Heartfelt gratitude to our armed forces for their courage, bravery and unwavering commitment to the security of our nation," read the note. It went on to read, "Thank you to the Hon’ble Prime Minister for his leadership and resolve. Jai Hind."
Kangana Ranaut also took to social media shortly after the speech and commended the PM for his strength and clarity during the crisis. In a tweet, she wrote, "Dear Prime Minister ji, you led us with unmatched courage, wisdom, and unwavering commitment and compassion for the nation. A great leader in every sense."
Their statements come at a time when diplomatic efforts between India and Pakistan have led to an agreement to maintain a ceasefire, following a period of high alert and military readiness on both sides.
In a related development, Aamir even postponed the trailer launch of his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, which was originally scheduled for May 8. The decision was reportedly taken out of respect for the ongoing issue. While he did postpone the launch event, a new date for the release has not yet been announced.
Meanwhile, Kangana is preparing to head to the United States to begin filming her Hollywood debut. She will be seen alongside Scarlet Rose Stallone and Tyler Posey in a folk horror thriller, marking a significant step in her international career.
