Aamir Khan arrives with girlfriend Gauri Spratt for Sitaare Zameen Par screening, his elder sister Nikhat Khan Hegde and Genelia D'Souza join them
Aamir Khan made a stylish appearance at the special screening of his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, donning a casual light grey kurta paired with black dhoti pants. Adding to the buzz, he was joined by his girlfriend Gauri Spratt and his elder sister Nikhat Khan Hegde. The trio arrived together in the same car, with Aamir and Gauri seated next to each other, making their public appearance together a highlight of the evening.
Also spotted at the screening was Genelia D’Souza Deshmukh, who plays a key role in the film alongside Aamir. She opted for a sporty and chic look for the occasion, drawing attention with her relaxed style.
Director R.S. Prasanna reveals extensive casting effort
Ahead of the June 20 theatrical release, director R.S. Prasanna shared insight into the casting journey of Sitaare Zameen Par. In an interview with IANS, the filmmaker revealed that the team auditioned more than 2,500 individuals over nearly 10 months to find the right fit for the film.
“We didn’t want professional actors; we were looking for raw, real talent. That made the process more challenging,” Prasanna explained. He added that many of the auditions were held online and the team had to conduct a series of preparatory workshops to help first-timers get comfortable in front of the camera.
Sitaare Zameen Par marks Aamir Khan’s return to the big screen after a brief hiatus following Laal Singh Chaddha. With anticipation building and an emotional storyline at its core, the film is expected to strike a chord with audiences much like his previous hit Taare Zameen Par.
