Aadil Jaipuri: I want to be associated with performance- and content-driven projects

Aadil Jaipuri, who began his acting career at the age of three and featured in films like Laawaris and Hadh, as well as television shows such as Zindagi Teri Meri Kahaani and Ssshh Koi Hai, took a five-year break before returning to showbiz as an adult. He resumed acting through theatre and short films. He says, “I transitioned into leading roles at the age of 27, starting with short films made for film festivals. Pind Daan, one of these short films, received global recognition. This was followed by four music videos.”After waiting patiently for the right project to mark his return to Bollywood, Aadil has now bagged debutant filmmaker Divyansh Pandit’s yet-to-be-titled film. Divyansh had earlier garnered attention for his short film Pind Daan, in which Aadil played a key role, making this upcoming project a continuation of their creative collaboration.Speaking about the film, Aadil shares that the project holds special significance for him. He says, “This film came to me at a time when I was very clear about the kind of work I wanted to do. I want to be associated with performance- and content-driven projects. Collaborating again with Divyansh, whose vision I deeply trust, and being supported by producers who believe in the story, made this a very exciting journey.”Aadil is the grandson of legendary lyricist and poet Hasrat Jaipuri. Ask him about his early days in acting, and he says, “My early exposure to cinema from the age of three, and working as a child actor until the age of 13, played a major role in shaping my journey. My parents were extremely supportive, especially my mother, Azra, who single-handedly managed my schooling during the day and shooting schedules in the evenings and nights, ensuring that neither my education nor my work was compromised.”
