A time to love dangerously!

Sudhir Mishra, with films like Dharavi, Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, and Chameli, has dissected human beings and explored all our complexities with realism.
Creating memorable characters, too, through his writing as well as direction (his first film as a writer, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, is a testimony to this), and Sudhir is hoping to do it again with Yeh Saali Zindagi — a quirky love story in the guise of a thriller.
“I wanted to make a film about love and life in the form of a thriller. Sometimes what seems to be a problem can actually solve the problem. What do you do when you are in love with a girl who doesn’t care and is in danger? Would you still be with her and help her or just let her go? There is certain amount of entertainment and humour in the film. Arun (Irrfan Khan) is in a complicated state and Kuldeep (Arunoday Singh) is a gangster who becomes vulnerable for the girl he loves. They live on the edge for the women they love,” Sudhir said.
That notwithstanding, Yeh Saali Zindagi is actually a happy film about the surprises that life throws up. The filmmaker claims it will take audiences on a roller-coaster ride towards a shattering climax. Minute detailing has gone into the casting. Irrfan, who has to save Priti (Chitrangda Singh), the woman he loves, says, “My character is every woman’s dream.” Arunoday, who suspects his wife is threatening to walk out on him for another man, adds,
“Some people are sent to high school while some are left stranded on the streets. My character understands his world is violent, physical, he is stuck between who he is and what life has made him.”
Getting all the attention is the sexy Chitrangda. “My character is a pretty regular middle-class girl who dreams of becoming a famous singer. She, foolishly, is in love with a man and can’t believe the extent to which she will go to get her love,” reveals the actress.
