While it's been reported that
Akshay Kumar is playing a cameo in filmmaker Neeraj Pandey's next production starring
Taapsee Pannu as a RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) agent, a source tell us that this film is a prequel to 'Baby'. However, unlike the 2014 thriller, which was directed by Neeraj, this will be helmed by Shivam Nair.
Says our source, 'Baby was always supposed to be a franchise. Akshay and Neeraj were planning a sequel, but they will begin that only when they have a solid script in hand. As for this film, Neeraj discussed it with Akshay during the making of 'Rustom'. Akki liked the role, which has a connect to 'Baby', and agreed to do it.'
