A platform to celebrate powerful storytelling

Over the past few years, Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films has emerged as a platform for aspiring filmmakers in India. It features them alongside their Bollywood counterparts, thus giving them an opportunity to establish themselves in the industry. It also offers a stage to storytellers, to showcase their creativity and to reach out to their target audience in the digital world.
This year too, the platform is collaborating with various directors and actors to make short films. One of the short films being showcased is 'Nitishastra', starring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Arora. Directed by Kapil Verma, it was launched in Mumbai on June 4.
The short film revolves around a young girl, who has devoted her life to women empowerment. However, her life takes a drastic turn when her brother commits a grievous crime, which affects the entire family. Soon, she is faced with a tough decision — whether to forgive her brother or punish him.
