on march 29th, there''ll be a new entry into the history books of indian cinema. it''s the first time that a production house will be releasing two of its films together. it''s a day that marks the release of paanch and khullam khulla pyar karen, both being padmini tele-media presentations it sure looks like a new marketing strategy that''s being attended to.
1x1 polls
on speaking to tutu sharma, managing director of padmini tele-media ltd, he said that the two films fitted into completely different genres and it was impossible that the release of one can affect the other. paanch, a film that will introduce many to the acting arena, including tutu''s sister-in-law padmini kolhapure, sounds fresh and positive and has already received rave responses, though the censor wars were quite a battle. the film has been scripted and directed by anurag kashyap (of satya and shool fame). khullam khulla pyar karen, on the other hand stars the likes of govinda and preity zinta. this racy commercial has been directed by harmesh malhotra and the entire venture complemented with musical scores by anand-milind. so here''s looking forward to two films on the same day. will both fair well or will the law of averages work. it better be one of the two choices, preferably the former. but if talks are to believed, the producer is gonna be one helluva happy man at the end of that day.
