A ‘golden’ moment for Manoj

When Manoj Bajpayee accepted the role of a jeweller in Dus Tola, he decided to get under the skin of the character.
Manoj wanted to take a short course on jewellery making, but time was a constraint. “So I requested my producer to call a jewellery maker on the sets. For four days, I learnt this art from him. I learnt to hold the gold nugget with tweezers, to apply the right amount of air pressure, etc.I did not want the professional goldsmiths to point out my mistakes,” he laughs.
So can he now really make a piece of jewellery? “Hmm, I can definitely try with little professional help,” he quips. Well, even if he can’t make it he can definitely buy wife Shabana some expensive stuff.
