- 'Rock On' was a much-appreciated and a well-received film. The sequel's trailer surely has grabbed eyeballs.
- 'Rock On 2' marks the debut of Shujaat Saudagaar as a director. He has been making ad films for 12 years and has earlier directed a short film 'Baali' in 2004.
- The trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is back with 'Rock on 2', and Shraddha has lent her vocals for this one.
- The star cast is also a reason. While sequels usually see one or two stars getting replaced, this one chose to retain its original star cast of Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Prachi Desai, but with an interesting inclusion of Shraddha Kapoor, who is seen in a pivotal role.
- While 'Rock On' gave all of us friendship goals. 'Rock On 2' talks about chasing your dreams.
