Ranbir and Alia’s wedding festivities had begun on April 13th and after almost 48 hours, the lovebirds made their first public appearance as a married couple on April 14th. The couple tried the sacred knot at their Vastu home, with their close friends and family being around. Both looked dreamy in shades of white and donned their brightest smiles for the media.

Ranbir and Alia surely made sure to look back at their happy moments, and make them even more special by tying the sacred knot at their balcony. “Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot - the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married,” shared Alia while sharing her wedding moments. Apart from that, the actress also honoured Ranbir’s love for number 8 by incorporating it in her wedding attire and accessories.

The Kapoor and Bhatt family, indeed celebrated the wedding festivities with pomp and splendour. And long with that, the family also paid tribute and remembered Ranbir’s father Rishi Kapoor. During the Mehendi ceremony, Ranbir held Rishi Kapoor’s photo close to him. He even wore his late father’s expensive watch which complimented perfectly with his ivory sherwani.
