36 years of 'Tezaab': Anil Kapoor says, 'A masterpiece that defined an era'

'Tezaab', released in 1988, is one of Anil Kapoor's most iconic films, establishing him as a major Bollywood star. Today, as the iconic film turns 36, the 'Animal' actor took to his social media handle to share a fan video performing on one of the most iconic songs 'Ek Do Teen' from the film.

Sharing the video, Anil Kapoor wrote, "celebrating 36 years of Tezaab, the film, the unforgettable music, and the iconic character Mahesh Deshmukh, akka Munna, continue to live in the hearts of million. A timeless creation by N. Chandra, with the music by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, lyrics by Javed Akhtar and unforgettable performance by Madhuri Dixit Nene alongside Anupam Kher. 'Tezaab' remains a masterpiece that defined an era."

The song 'Ek Do Teen', is one of the most iconic songs choreographed by Saroj Khan. For the unversed, The film was a huge commercial success and ran in theatres for over 50 weeks, making it a Silver Jubilee hit.

Recently, Anil took to his Instagram handle to wish his son on his 34th birthday with a heartfelt note. Anil also shared photo pictures of the birthday boy as he wished him another year of adventures, growth, and madness.

Sharing the post, the 'Mr. India' actor wrote, "Happy Birthday, Harsh! Watching you grow into the passionate and determined person you are today has been one of my greatest joys. Your strength, resilience, and the way you fearlessly chase your dreams scares me sometimes momentarily and then when you prove me wrong it makes me proud ...Keep forging your own path, no matter where it leads-you've already shown us all what it means to truly follow your heart. Meanwhile, on the work front, Anil is gearing up for his upcoming film, 'Subedaar'. In the film, he will be seen playing the role of Subedaar Arjun Singh. Radhikka Madan will play his daughter Shyama. Directed by Suresh Triveni, 'Subedaar' is described as an "adrenaline fuelled action drama".
