’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif clocked 11 glorious years today. The film, which was reportedly the first commercial hit of Ranbir, established him as the new superstar of

Bollywood

.

However, did you know that Ranbir was actually not the first choice for the movie? Yes, you read it right! Rajkumar Santoshi reportedly approached Shahid Kapoor first for the role of Prem Shankar Sharma. IT is being said that after reading the script, Shahid felt that the character was too similar to that of Aditya Kashyap from ‘Jab We Met’ and therefore declined the offer.



Shahid then later collaborated with Santoshifor ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’ in 2013 co-starring Ileana D’Cruz.
It was also during ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ that Ranbir and Katrina fell in love with each other and went on to do films like, ‘Rajneeti’ and ‘Jagga Jasoos’ together. However, they have now parted ways for reasons best known to them



While Ranbir is now dating Alia Bhatt, Katrina is rumoured to be in a relationship with Vicky Kaushal.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’. He also has Luv Ranjan’s next in his pipeline.

Katrina, on the other hand, will next be seen in ‘Sooryavanshi’ co-starring Akshay Kumar. She also has Ali Abbas Zafar’s superhero series in her kitty.
