BHOPAL: Actor and Nawab Saif Ali Khan has moved the Madhya Pradesh HC, with royal properties worth thousands of crores belonging to the last Nawab of Bhopal under threat of being confiscated under the Enemy Property Act, 1968. On Monday , he sought stay on vesting of properties under the Act and listing of Nawab's properties by the state. Saif 's grandmother Sajida Sultan inherited Bhopal state's properties in 1961, making the Pataudis the inheritor of royal properties.
The dispute lies around the Bhopal Nawab's eldest daughter, Abida Sultaan, who was heir apparent, but migrated to Pakistan in 1950.
