’? The film was first offered to Shahid Kapoor to play the role of Kali Pratap Singh. But he rejected the film and later it went on to Ajay. If he would have signed the film, it would have been Shahid’s first collaboration with Karan Johar.

Apart from Ajay, ‘Kaal’ also featured John Abraham, Vivek Oberoi, Esha Deol and Lara Dutta in pivotal roles. The film failed to impress the audience and it flopped at the box office.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shahid will be next seen in ‘Jersey’ with Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur. The team recently wrapped up the shoot amid the new normal. On the other hand, Ajay is currently shooting for ‘MayDay’. He also has ‘Chanakya’, ‘RRR’, ‘Thank God’ and ‘Maidaan’ in his kitty.
