Did you know former General VK Singh acted in this Bollywood film?

Apart from being a military man and an accomplished politician, former army chief VK Singh also has a movie role to his name.

Former General VK Singh had a cameo in the 1991 film 'Prahaar', starring Nana Patekar, Gautam Joglekar, Madhuri Dixit and Dimple Kapadia. He appears on-screen when a Colonel briefs Nana Patekar's character Major Chauhan on the mission to rescue school kids who are held hostage by militants. The Colonel says, "We have some slides of the area; Colonel V. K. Singh will explain it to you."

The film focuses on the Indian army, and an idealistic and brave military commander fighting injustice. VK Singh had confirmed reports of his cameo by saying that the makers were shooting the film in the centre and wanted a real officer to sit in the scene.
