Jimmy Sheirgill was off to a slow start at the domestic box office. A report on BoxofficeIndia.com states that the film earned an estimated Rs 80 lakh on its opening day.
The Holi holiday didn’t seem to work its magic on this rom-com. However, trade experts are looking forward to seeing if the film’s collections improve over the weekend.

The film’s poor critic reviews could have also resulted in its poor performance. Set in Delhi, the film revolves around lovers who take the whole duration of the film to get married with the blessings of their parents.
The film has long been confused with another mega-starrer 'Veere Di Wedding', which has an ensemble cast of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, and Swara Bhaskar among others, which is expected to hit the theatres on June 1.
