Uri: The Surgical Strike' is going strong at the box office and has emerged as the first hit film of 2019. The film has very well managed to break the box office dominance held by Ranveer Singh starrer 'Simmba'. 'Uri' clashed with Anupam Kher's 'The Accidental Prime Minister' at the box office, both centered on nationhood and patriotism. The movie has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark and has been applauded by the audience. 'Uri' released on 11 January.

Also See: Uri: The Surgical Strike Movie ReviewAccording to the latest report by BoxofficeIndia.com, on Wednesday, the film has managed to collect Rs 7.50 crore on its sixth day at the box office. The film has till now managed to collect a total of Rs 62.75 crore in six days at the box office.
The film is based on the surgical strikes carried out on September 29, 2016, by the Indian Army on terrorist launchpads across the Line of Control. The strikes were carried out in retaliation to a terrorist attack on an army camp at Uri earlier that month.
