Salman Khan’s much-awaited film is running successfully in theatres worldwide. The actor, who essays the title role of 'Tubelight', has had an elated Eid this year with the release of this
Kabir Khan film, which is doing wonders at the domestic and international box office.

The film, also co-starring Salman's real life brother Sohail is also doing well on the domestic front. The total earnings for the weekend for the same is Rs 62.75 crore. It raked in Rs 20.75 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 19.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 22.25 crore on Sunday. The numbers are expected to go up on Monday, as it is the festive holiday of Eid.
'Tubelight' did not go well with the critics but Salman is pleased as they did not give a minus rating to film. Speaking about the same to IANS, he was quoted saying, "The critics were really good. I was expecting minus 3 and minus 4 but they gave 1, 1.5 apparently, so I am very pleased," said Salman.
The film is set against the backdrop of the 1962 Sino-Indian War and also features late Bollywood legend,
Om Puri, Chinese actress
Zhu Zhu and child artist Martin Rey Tangu play pivotal roles in the film.
